What is a master item?

A number, used as a placeholder (usually identified with the Model number) that allows you to receive resale goods into the system. Depending on your SKU Logic and attribute management, multiple SKUs can be associated to the Master Item. A Master item contain other data related to the product such as Manufacturer, Inventory Type, eBay categories, Dimensions, Weight, Categories, Codes, Bill of Materials, Substitutes, and more.
