How to Re-Install the Print Service

When the print service is not working, or an update has been pushed.  Re-installing the print service may be required.  The following will show how this can be done.

If some files were not removed correctly - it may prevent successful reinstall. You need to remove old Remote Printer Service files.

Go to the C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\ folder, find subfolder where Remote Printer Service is installed and remove it. Please be careful because the folder may include some other applications installed.


After you have uninstalled

Please open up your Run prompt, Win+R or search for Run in windows search.  In the text field type "cmd".  When the black window comes up please type "rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache"  this is case sensitive.
