Setup Default Terms to Appear on the Sales Order

This tutorial shows you how to setup default terms for your invoices.

1.  Navigate to Settings>System Settings.

The Admin Screen page will be displayed.

 

2.  Navigate to TERMS tab in the GLOBAL SETTINGS section.

The Terms page will be displayed.

3.  Navigate to Invoice Terms tab.

 

4.  Select the template that you wish to apply for the payment terms from the Choose Template drop down list. The available options are Default Invoice Terms and Quick Payment Terms.

5.  Enter the name of the template in the Template Name field.

6.  Enter the terms and conditions applicable, in the Terms & Conditions field.

7.  Select Make Default check box to make this term as default for all invoices.

8.  Click Save as New.

The terms and conditions will be successfully saved.

Note: If you click Save, the original terms will be overwritten.

9.  Navigate to Sales>Sales Orders.

The Sales Orders page will be displayed.

10.  Click NEW.

The notification informing you about the creation of the blank order will be displayed.

11.  Click Yes.

The Sales Order page will be displayed in the edit mode.

12.  Select the customer from the Customer drop down list.

13.  Select the terms template from the Terms Template drop down list.

14.  Click search () icon to search the items.

The Advanced Inventory Search dialog will be displayed.

15.  Select the item by checking the checkbox in the row of that item.

16.  Enter the quantity of item in the QTY field.

17.  Enter the price of the item in the Price field.

18.  Click Add & Close.

19.  Click () button to allocate automatically.

The notification informing that the selected item has been allocated automatically will be displayed.

20.  Click OK.

21.  Click APPROVE.

22.  Click CREATE INVOICE.

23.  Navigate to Invoice (Final) tab.

24.  Click PRINT/DOWNLOAD.

The Reporting Station dialog will be displayed.

25.  Select the type of the report that you wish to preview from the Reports field.

26.  Click Preview.

The Invoice Report will be downloaded in the PDF format.

You can view that the default terms that was set will be displayed in the sales order invoice report.
