Relocate a Resale Item by Scanning

You can relocate a resale item by changing its location using a scanner. First scan the location you want the resale items to move, lock the location, and scan each item you wish to relocate.

Note: You can scan or manually enter locations or UID/serials numbers.

To relocate a resale item by scanning, follow the steps given below.

1. Navigate to Inventory > Receive Inventory.

2.  Click Relocate.  

The Stock Move dialog will be displayed. 

3.  From here, you can scan and update the location you want the item to be in. To do so, simply click on the Update Location field and select the required location. You can do this by either typing it manually or scanning a location.  If there is an incorrect scan, you will hear a warning sound and a message box informing you that the location does not exist, will be displayed in the top right corner of the page. 

If the location scan is correct, then the value is shown in the Update Location field.

4.  At this point, click the Lock (  ) button so that the selected location does not change.


5.  Click the Scan UID/Serial field to select it. Now you can scan any resale item that you want to move to the updated location.  The message box informing you about the successful relocation of the stock will be displayed. 

However if you scan something that is not there in the system or if the bar code is scanned incorrectly, then you will once again hear a warning error message. You can scan multiple items in a row. If the scan is successful, you will always get that green successful message box in the top right corner of the page.
