Set Field Defaults on Receive Inventory

This tutorial shows you how to set your field defaults in Receive Inventory.

1.  Navigate to the user name at the top.

2.  Click Manage Defaults.

The Manage Defaults dialog box will be displayed.

There are a couple of options:

3.  You can check or uncheck Suggest Location. This is for the auto suggestion algorithm of the assigned location feature in Razor. If a particular user does something that is often a large items that would not want to be assigned locations automatically, you can uncheck this box.It will make it such that they have to be assigned manually or scanned into a location. But if there is a user doing a lot of small things that all go into your assigned location algorithm, then check the box.

 4.  Auto generate UID/ Serial box, if checked, will make sure that whenever you put in an item, it will generate the UID/Serial for you.

 5.  Auto select Unique Item is useful for some particular types of users. Suppose you are bringing in a bunch of expensive items that, though same, are very different in their conditions or configurations. Checking this option will ensure that every single item that is brought into the system, will be its own SKU, which can be pictured, qualified and pushed through the sales channels independently.

 6.  Under Default Attributes in the same dialog box, you can set a default Customer. This helps when most or all of the customers are the same.

 7.  Likewise, the Condition can also be set from among the options like NEW, REFURBISHED, NEW-OPEN-BOX, AS IS, etc.Set the Customer to Razor Demo Company and the Condition to REFURBISHED.

 8.  Click Save Changes.

Now, you can see that without having to put a single item in, we have default customer, serial number, unique identifier and the condition.

This helps you save a lot of time and increases your workflow.
