Receive Inventory using Special Products Codes (UPC, ASIN, ISBN, HECI)
This tutorial will show you how to receive items into the system using special product codes like UPC, ASIN, ISBN, and HECI.
1. Navigate to Inventory>Receive Inventory.
The Inventory page will be displayed.
2. Select UPC from the code dropdown list.
3. Enter the scanned code in UPC field.
The related model and its manufacturer details are displayed with respect to the scanned code entered.
4. Enter the code which is not an UPC in the Code field.
A dialog box is displayed with a message that there is no model found.
5. Click Yes to create a new one.
You can create UPC code in 2 methods.
1st Method
1. Click Yes in the previous message box.
The Update Master Item page is displayed.
2. Navigate to CODES tab.
3. Enter the code in Code field.
4. Click ADD.
The inventory code is received.
2nd Method
1. Navigate to Inventory>Master Items.
The Master Items page will be displayed.
2. Select a master item from the list.
3. Click EDIT tab.
The Update Master Item page is displayed.
4. Navigate to CODES tab.
5. Enter the code in the Code field.
6. Click ADD.
The inventory is received through the special code UPC.
